All about obesity, its causes, and treatment

Obesity is a complicated health problem that results due to different factors like behavior and genetics. It is a condition that comes when your body accumulates extra body fat and it can put you at great health risk. There are various health complications that can be developed due to obesity. The key reasons causing obesity include:-

Poor diet and eating habits

Human beings should take a proper balanced diet that helps in the efficient working of the body and accomplish their body needs. The problem arises when a person eats an extra amount of fat and carbohydrates. Your body is not able to use the extra fat and carbs that lead to obesity. It is the main culprit of weight gain but people love to consume those food loaded with fat and carbs like sweetened drinks, sweet food, potatoes, pasta, rice and etc.

Apart from having unhealthy food and improper eating routine is also responsible for causing obesity and overweight. Many people skip their breakfast or take an unhealthy breakfast that leads to overeating for rest of the day. Instead of this, you should start your day with a healthy breakfast and divide your food into 5 small meals in the whole day. Having a mid-morning and afternoon snack like an apple, or orange can help in satisfying your hunger pangs and reduce the chances of overeating. It also helps in boosting your metabolism and ensures your productivity all day long.

Inactive lifestyle

In this technology world, we are too busy in our hectic life and do not pay attention to physical activities. People are mostly busy with their office work or at home. When you live a sedentary lifestyle your body will not able to burn the stored energy and leads to overweight problems. Additionally, obesity is also responsible for hormonal imbalance, especially for women, family history, genetics, psychological problems, etc.

Problems with obesity
There is different health issues associated with obesity:-

• Heart disease: – cardiovascular disease such as congestive heart failure, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, etc. are significantly develops in individuals who are overweight. Obese people are mostly more prone to heart problems and are at risk of high blood pressure. Also, triglyceride and cholesterol levels are higher in obese and overweight people.
• Stroke: – Obesity also increases the risk of stroke. The key reason for stroke is atherosclerosis that is thinning of the arteries which leads to arterial blood clots. It is causing due to multiple reasons like high cholesterol, lack of exercise, smoking, etc.
• Cancer: – Obesity is also increasing the chances of different forms of cancer like prostate, kidneys, colon, etc.
• Gallbladder problem:- The occurrence of gallbladder or gallstone chances increase three times in overweight people.
• Osteoarthritis: – Is a common problem faced by overweight people. The research shows that overweight and obese people are noticed to high risk for arthritis and other ailments.
• Depression:- Obese person also affected by depression along with other psychological issues. Generally, overweight people experience low-quality life not only due to various health complications but also the inability of completing their certain goals.

Treatment
If you are also overweight or obese then you add some exercise to your routine and drink plenty of water and consume a low-sugar diet. You can join yoga class, gym or start some physical activities that support you in your losing weight. Along with this, you should also include nutrition food options in your diet. Losing weight is a time-taking process so you need to follow the process rigorously which may be take some time.
